Hanging.jpg
45lb Weighted Hang: I participated in my own study to determine the optimal qualities to be a climber as I do not climb a high grade I could deduct that whatever others performed better in was the attribute of interest. Other tests included: Flexibility, 1RM hamstring curl, 1RM weighted pull-up, hollow-rock hold, and max meters in 1 minute on the ski erg.
TEST BATTERY ADMINISTRATION & PARTICIPATION

I have run a variety of tests on a variety of participants such as the UVic Varsity Women's Soccer team for the 30-15, 40 meter time, and vertical jump height. In addition, I regularly perform force velocity testing on the UVic Varsity teams using the Tendo barbell attachment. I have created and run a test battery on climbers to determine the required physical qualities to be a great climber. Lastly, I created and ran an experiment measuring EMG of the medial gastrocnemius of athletic students to measure the change in power following dynamic and passive stretching.

Measurement of Muscle Force Following Two Stretching Conditions:
I would lead participants up for their baseline test without any stretching conditions, the participant would then use the barbell in the high-bar back squat position to planter flex their ankles into the safeties to create a maximum voluntary isometric contraction. Following this participants would do a dynamic stretch and a static stretch with a maximum voluntary contraction following each stretch condition.
